I have lived in or around Portsmouth all my life and went to my first match at Fratton Park in 1958, so I have supported and been involved one way or another for more than 50 years.

In the sixties, I was involved with the Pompey Action Group, fundraising & selling programs on match days amongst other things. I also managed the Pompey Ladies football team and played for Fratton Sports, the supporters club’s Sunday side.

In the seventies, we had the original SOS Pompey and I was one of the lunatics that played non-stop football for 41 hours on the two coldest nights of the year to raise money for the club. We actually broke the Guinness Book world record, but never got a mention because two teams in USA broke it again before the next book was published.

More recently I, along with many other Pompey fans, have been to Wembley five times and loved our first ever European tour, including the amazing match against AC Milan and an unforgettable trip to Guimares, Portugal. The least said about the many Pompey low points, the better!

In the last year I have been an active and ever present representative on the Pompey Fans Conference and a Trust member from the beginning and I now want to do my bit to help Pompey Supporters Trust build on its successful, if at times difficult, first year.
