Alan Scott

I was born and grew up in Portsmouth, in sight and sound of Fratton Park and PFC is firmly in my DNA. I am a long term PFC Season Ticket holder and an Ambassador with the Shaping Portsmouth initiative.

I have been involved with football all of my life, in Portsmouth, Sussex, London and West Dorset leagues. I have played, managed, coached and hold relevant coaching badges and referee’s qualification.

In 2014, I was one of the founding members of Portsmouth Walking Football Club under the initial support and guidance of PITC, the Club has now evolved into an independent self-funded Club. This has been a hugely successful project allowing men and women aged 50+ of all abilities to meet and play football twice a week.

We also represent Portsmouth in many National & International Tournaments and also host many other League Clubs Walking Football teams here in Portsmouth as part of our fan engagement.

I have helped with the club’s affiliation to the FA and WFA and most recently received my qualification from the FA for Safeguarding of Junior Players and Player Welfare in Open Age Football.

My commercial experience allowed me in 1991 to be a Founding Director of ICMA a global trade association based in USA and President from 97-99. This allowed me to develop many friendships around the world, always with the common denominator of football.

I believe the Trust has a fundamental role to play in the future growth and integrity of the club and I believe I can bring my enthusiasm and experience to help in building long term relationships with existing and a new generation of supporters.
